Advertiser terms
These terms apply when you buy a spot on The Fridge Card, run by Aristide Damado, operating as WITH ARIS. By ticking the terms box when you pay, you agree to them. Your spot details (category, number of cards, area and price) are shown when you reserve and on your receipt. A custom order may instead list them on a signed order form.
1. Payment
1.1 Payment is due in full when you reserve, by card on our secure checkout or by the payment link we send you. Your spot is reserved only once payment is received. If two businesses pay for the same category on the same card, the first payment gets the spot and the other is refunded in full.
1.2 Six-card plans are paid in full upfront. Nothing renews automatically: before your last card closes, we email you a link to book again.
1.3 Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and do not include applicable taxes.
2. Your ad
2.1 You will send us your logo, offer, phone number, website and any photos by the artwork deadline (the date the card closes, shown on our website).
2.2 We design the ad to fit the card layout. You get one proof and one round of changes. More changes may cost extra, and we will tell you the price first.
2.3 You must approve the final proof in writing (the Approve button on your proof page, email or text is fine). Once you approve it, you are responsible for everything in it, including phone numbers, prices, offers and spelling.
2.4 If you don't approve or send changes by the artwork deadline, we will run the latest proof. If you have run with us before, we may run your previous ad instead.
2.5 We decide where each ad sits on the card.
3. What you promise
3.1 You have the right to use every logo, photo, trademark and piece of text you send us.
3.2 Your ad and offer are truthful and legal, and you hold every licence your business needs to make them.
3.3 You will honour any offer or coupon printed in your ad for the period stated in it.
3.4 You will cover any cost, claim or penalty against us that comes from the content of your ad or your offer.
4. Ads we can refuse
We may refuse or remove any ad that is illegal, misleading, offensive, political, adult in nature, or that attacks another business. If we refuse an ad you have paid for and you cannot fix it in time, we refund that mailing in full.
5. Category exclusivity
We will not place another business from your category on the same card in the same mailing. Exclusivity covers only your category and only the cards you have paid for.
6. Printing and mailing
6.1 We send the card to print and to the postal service on our regular monthly schedule, whether or not every spot is sold. We may fill unsold spots with other businesses at any price, including free.
6.2 The card is delivered by Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail to the routes listed in your order details or on your results page. Home counts come from the postal service and are approximate.
6.3 Once the cards are handed to the postal service, delivery timing is up to them. We are not responsible for delays caused by the postal service, strikes, weather or other events outside our control.
6.4 After each mailing, we will send you proof that it was mailed (the Canada Post mailing receipt, also shown on your results page, and a copy of the card).
7. Tracking and results
7.1 Your ad's QR code opens a page we host for your offer (your offer page). We may also add a short link or tracking phone number. Calls and visits go straight to you.
7.2 Your offer page may show our monthly neighbourhood giveaway below your offer. Your report counts visits to your page, offers claimed and giveaway entries separately, and giveaway entries are never counted as visits or claims. We will share your response numbers with you. We may share combined, anonymous results (no business names) to promote the card.
7.3 We do not guarantee any number of calls, visits, sales or other results.
8. If something goes wrong on our side
8.1 If we fail to mail a card you paid for, you choose: a full refund for that mailing, or a free spot in the next mailing.
8.2 If we print an error in your ad that was not in the proof you approved, you choose: a free spot in the next mailing, or a 50% refund for that mailing.
8.3 Our total responsibility under this agreement is limited to the amount you paid for the affected mailing.
9. Cancelling
9.1 You can cancel a mailing for a full refund up to the artwork deadline for that mailing.
9.2 After the artwork deadline, the mailing cannot be cancelled or refunded, because printing is already underway. We may move your spot to a later month if space is available.
9.3 For a six-card plan, you can stop future cards by email before they close. We refund what you paid, minus the regular one-card price for each card already mailed.
10. General
10.1 This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
10.2 This is the whole agreement between us. Any change must be in writing and agreed by both of us.
10.3 Electronic signatures and signed copies sent by email count as originals.
